    RATED 4.9 ACROSS 1,900 REVIEWS

Don't just take our word for it! We're rated 4.9 with over 1,900 reviews!

At last! Walking tours with both you and your baby at its heart. The perfect gift for newborn baby and mother. Bring Your Baby Guided London Walks understands that mums want and need to get out and about.

WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?

Who was Georgie Porgie? Why were the mice blind? Did London Bridge really fall down? All these questions and other burning questions of the day, will be answered in full, as you search for Lucy Locket’s pocket, lost somewhere between Whitehall and The Strand…

Babies and toddlers are discouraged from participating in most guided walks for all the obvious reasons. They can need feeding or changing, and not everyone in a group is child orientated.

This is a great way to discover the city alongside your baby, with like-minded parents who absolutely get it if there is a meltdown, or you have to stop NOW. There are planned pit stops along the various routes, for maintenance, and even tiny babies can enjoy the sensory experience of looking up at the buildings, while you soak in the verbal history.

Everything is geared up to your convenience. Start and finish times, transport accessibility, and walks that actually take moving a buggy into account. You might experience the odd kerb, but a flight of steps are definitely off the cards. Help is on always on hand and the event is held at a slower pace so they can be inclusive for everyone.

There are several walks to choose from including Jane Austen’s St James's and a tour of Dulwich Village or the Suffragettes’ East London tour.  Our winners are the walks that delve into the history behind our classic nursery rhymes.

Mosaic Masterclass in a Day

Create a beautiful mosaic reminiscent of the ancient classics and learn from a Master Mosaicist. WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT? An artist's paradise. Prepare to be mesmerised by the variety of colours, the shades and the depth that can be created with small chips of stones and glass. There are mosaics and there are extraordinary mosaics.  TELL ME MORE Giulia Manzoni is a Master Mosaicist. Classically trained in Italy, she has been working between London and San Francisco. Now based in London, Giulia has collaborated on projects from the floor restoration of the Victoria and Albert Museum to several bespoke mosaic projects. She works regularly with architects to create mosaics for walls and pools, inspired by ancient Greek or Roman designs. As well as designing her own collection of strikingly modern products using marble fragments. The next time you walk across a museum or find yourself contemplating in a church, look down at the floors beneath your feet and wonder. These are works of art made with love by artisans who for the last four thousand years have designed everything from advertising to great religious works, just by using little stones. Film Lovers, Art Deco, Independent Cinema Experience for Two

Go where cinema first began. Velvet chairs, gold coat hooks, and a working Compton cinema organ.  WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT? Right in the heart of London, over 120 years ago, the Lumière Brothers unveiled their Cinematographe machine, kickstarting the film industry; This was the first cinema to open its doors to the paying public, charging 54 people a shilling each to watch the 40 second clip. Regent Street cinema, the iconic cinema where this event occurred, was restored to its stunning Art Deco glory in 2015. Today, the cinema is run by a team of independent film lovers, who make sure that every film counts. From the best blockbusters to the most exciting independent and foreign-language films, the main criterion is that whatever is shown on the screen must transport you to another place. Their programme covers every genre. So whether it’s Gladiator II, A Man for all Seasons or It’s a Wonderful Life, you can settle in and fall in love with cinema all over again. TELL ME MORE Regent Street Cinema screens films in digital 4K with 7.1 surround sound in the Art Deco auditorium complete with velvet chairs, gold coat hooks, and an elliptical-coved ceiling—in other words, a proper old-fashioned cinema. The team has also spent the past year lovingly restoring Regent Street Cinema's original 35mm projector, so keep an eye out for very special film-on-film presentations. This is one of the only cinemas in the country to have an original working Compton cinema organ; every first Monday of the month, there's a recital before the matinée screening, several times a year silent films are run, accompanied by the organ. It is a joy to listen to. This experience includes 2 film tickets, 2 house wines, beers, or soft drinks and 2 x Maize and Grace popcorn bags.  This is a London landmark. Whether you're a die-hard cinephile or just want to watch films in somewhere very special, Regent Street Cinema has got you covered. Kintsugi Workshop

A hands-on workshop where you'll be guided step by step on how to repair broken china using golden resin...   WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT? Learn how to mend once loved china and earthenware in this mindful introduction to the Kintsugi method. The visible repairs are seen as part of the history of an object, highlighting the cracks and symbolising fragility, strength and beauty. This golden repair is called Kintsugi.   WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS WORKSHOP?   The idea of this workshop is to repair a loved item, joining together the fractures using the Japanese Kintsugi method - applying the resin glue to the broken sections and making it whole once more. The imperfections aren’t to be hidden but embraced! The Kintsugi method celebrates the beauty of the scars in an object and recognises that the history should be shown and not hidden. Choose your broken porcelain (vase, bowl, plate or cup), and be taken by our resident Indytute expert, step by step through the technique of mending each section piece by piece. This is very much a thoughtful and methodical process….not to be rushed, where each piece is applied and repaired carefully. THE ALL IMPORTANT DETAILS The Indytute will provide all the kit needed for this workshop: You can bring your own china but we can't guarantee it'll be finished on time as the process needs to be done with patience.
