This is a full-day workshop, 9am - 6pm. When you leave, you will both have a finished mosaic ready to take home and make a house very happy. Prior to the workshop, you will be sent a selection of traditional and contemporary fonts to choose from, so you can create your own custom lettering. There is also the option to design your own lettering to bring along on the day.
TELL ME MORE
During the workshop, you will transfer your design onto a wooden base before choosing from Amy’s collection of unglazed ceramic and vitreous glass tiles. Learn how to cut and shape your tiles with mosaic nippers before applying the tesserae (four-sided stone) to your design.
At the end of the session, you will grout the plaque, and it will be ready to take home.
The size of the sign will vary depending on the design, but can be up to 30cm x 20cm. There won’t be more than five of you working in the studio, and snacks and hot drinks will be provided to keep you snipping and chipping.
Very Margate and very lovely. A sign for our times.

Helen and I very much enjoyed the session with you 'up-cycling' some vintage plates. We have never done anything like this before, but found your instructions clear and easy to follow. It was such a creative session, yet relaxing as you were so helpful and there was plenty of time. Thank you for making it such a fun, yet creative couple of hours.

Our experience at the Palm Court for the ‘Afternoon Tea’ was divine, a calm atmosphere coupled by friendly service by all staff particularly ‘Kim & Efrey’. We arrived to the location earlier and kindly escorted to our table where we could explore the menu & unwind. The cutlery was immaculate served in Silver Wear, ‘Kim’ explained each tier as vegetarians my Mum & I had a variety of fresh sandwiches. The scones were warmly kept in a cotton bag and throughout our Tea we were acknowledg...

Dear Claire I just wanted to say thank you again for a great Soap making session on Saturday. My sister and I loved it, and it has inspired us to look into making some of our own. Everyone we have shown say the soaps look amazing and we are excited to give some away as gifts. I wish you all the best
