Turn drab into FAB. Give your much-loved clothes a new lease of life and revive your existing wardrobe.
WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
We’ve all got a piece. The jeans you just can’t bear to throw away, the mothy sweater, the boyfriend shirt with a rust spot that won’t shift, the list goes on.
Revive is a one woman’s answer to bringing clothes back to life. Forget second-hand, these are first-hand clothes, in need of a reboot. Cut down on your consumption of new stuff, and learn the skill (and art) of remodelling. These classes are huge fun and very satisfying. Why buy when you can Revive?
JEAN & TONIC with Revive
An evening of jean revivalism while drinking gin and tonic. Heaven. Bundle up the jeans that loiter unworn in your cupboard, and bring them along to a Revive workshop.
Together with Teresa you will learn the mending and embroidery techniques which will simply bring your jeans back to life. The workshop price covers a drink, the embroidery hoops and needles, colourful threads and extra add on options - think beads and patches.
Teresa uses embroidery to ‘illustrate’ garments. Threads instead of ink - a tattoo for your clothes.
COSY JUMPER REVIVAL
Cosy is the theme for this workshop. Hot chocolate, biscuits and the woolly you and the moths adore. Turn drab into fab with simple embroidery techniques, and a few frivolous touches.
Everything you need will be provided, just bring along a jumper to work on. 2 hours later you will have learned the skills needed to Revive. It's surprisingly satisfying. This workshop only takes place every couple of months, but is worth any wait time. Your sweater will thank you for it.
