WHAT'S THIS POTTERY CLASS ALL ABOUT?

Take to the wheel at Blanc Ceramic. Don’t be intimidated - this is a class for beginners, and the space is both relaxing and serene. The teacher, Raymond, is skilled and patient in explaining the process, and he gets rave reviews from his students for both his taste in music and his sense of humour;

Under his watchful eye, you certainly won’t be leaving with a wobbly mess. The marbling class involves throwing paint onto a surface; You can choose to create a small bowl, plate, or cup that you’ll be able to take home and use - but not straight away. Patience is needed, as your pottery will need to be fired, and you’ll have to wait a few weeks before you can pick it up. The studio will contact you when the piece is ready.

Everything you need from the clay, glaze, and tools to the bisque firing will be included. The class groups are kept small, so you’ll get plenty of hands-on attention. One class won’t be enough; it will certainly inspire you to keep exploring with clay. The soft lighting and calming music set the tone, ensuring your blood pressure won’t go into overdrive if you make a mistake, but you won’t. Raymond is on hand to insure potting success.
