Hold on tight as you glide through the water at lightning speed on a wakeboard or waterski. This watersports adventure is a thrill-a-minute.
WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
No point in being by the sea, if you don’t make the most of the water, and Maverick boats absolutely do. These are the activity experiences you need to feel confident in the water. All necessary equipment will be provided, along with wetsuits, boards, gloves and boots for chilly days. All you need to bring are swimmies, towels and warm kit to change into.

This is a family business. Paul is a man obsessed with a boat. He is very much Captain of this watery enterprise. This is a tight ship. Look out for the crew - Sarah, Steve, Lee and Craig who might as well be fish. Between them they tackle every water sport going, and lastly, there’s Indie the dog who doesn’t, but is very happy to act as mascot.
Choose between wakeboarding or water skiing on the day of your experience.
WAKEBOARDING
For this activity a sense of adventure is useful. You will be attempting to ride in the boat’s wake with your feet secured into rubber bindings on a rather small board. It’s a combo of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing. The experts can impress spectators with flips and aerial tricks. You will be towed by a rope, and it is very exhilarating.
WATER SKIING
A brilliant workout, and all round exhilarating water sport. It’s the popping up in deep water that’s the trickiest part. Once you’ve mastered that a turn around the bay is surprisingly easy. You can practice skimming the water with two skis or just the one - up to you.
Each person will have 15 minutes on the water, which doesn’t sound long, but it’s intense. There will be a lesson on land before you board, and coaching throughout.
The boat only goes out in good weather conditions, when the sea is flat - usually early morning. Lean back, knees bent and get ready for the ride.
