It's time for an afternoon tea time treat at Rails restaurant located in the Great Northern Hotel. Inspired by the iconic railways of the UK, the tea takes you on a culinary journey featuring regional delights from across the country.
Yorkshire Parkin (a form of gingerbread), Cranachan choix buns, and Millionaire shortbread are all on the menu. Another immersive experience - the romance of travel but without any of the hassle.

We had such an incredible time for my boyfriends birthday. Highly recommend, we loved it!
The food was divine, the scones were fresh and warm in a cotton bag. We were shown how to fix the silver strainer to the cup. Our waiter, Paolo, was ever present if we wanted anything but invisible when we didn't. Just a truly amazing experience and worth every penny.
We organised this as a surprise for a friend’s birthday. It was brilliant fun- nice and relaxed- the time flew by and we made some beautiful pots. Huge thanks to Francesca was a wonderful host and teacher.
My sister and I had a fantastic time at the drawing class, the miniature donkeys were called Gilbert and Sullivan and they were adorable. They munched on hay all the time and were so good. Jenny was lovely and very encouraging and we had a great time. We will definately be doing this again. I have attached my drawing of them (it won't be sold at Sotherby's any time soon!!!) but is a lovely reminder of a special day.
