Set in the Kent countryside, this sustainable vineyard has a fascinating history, with its name inspired by the ancient seas that once covered the North Downs.

The leisurely tour offers an introduction to life among the vines, from growing and farming to the winemaking process that takes grapes from vineyard to glass. With an expert guide sharing the story behind the vineyard, there’s plenty to discover while taking in the peaceful surroundings and fresh country air.
After the tour, it’s time to settle in for a sparkling afternoon tea. Freshly prepared sandwiches and delicate sweet treats are served alongside a glass of the vineyard’s own sparkling wine, creating a relaxed and indulgent finish to the visit.

Very enjoyable tea in beautiful surroundings. The staff were friendly and looked after us well. Good variety of flavours and the table looked splendid.
I took my mother here for afternoon tea, and wasn’t expecting too much, as it was a freebie which I redeemed... However, the entire experience was brilliant and would not bat an eyelid at experiencing again as a paying customer. The setting, in ‘the birdcage’ was beautiful, and I don’t know whether it is a usual feature, but there was a harpist playing at the time, which really added to the experience. My son bought this for my birthday and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Cocktails and hot chocolate were a lovely extra touch to other afternoon teas I have had.
