The Bustronome has been converted to offer panoramic views of London, regardless of weather. This state-of-the-art bus has been adapted to cope with any bumps the road has to offer, comfort is all, and with the domed glass roof, you really can see for miles. Plug in their audio guide or just sit and absorb London.

Now the tea. You don’t have to worry about spillages. They have cunningly devised perspex stands to hold the cakes and glasses so they really won’t end up in your lap. If you love a traditional afternoon tea - and frankly who doesn’t - then relish this one. It isn’t only hotels who can conjure up the goods.

It’s a proper old fashioned tea. Scones with jam and clotted cream, finger sandwiches, and melt in the mouth pastries. If you fancy pushing the bus out there is a bottomless Prosecco option on the menu or stay with the selection of teas.

This outing is a lot of fun. Forget any preconceptions you may have about transport and eating. The onboard staff are charming and adept at looking out for the red lights, which means they seamlessly serve tea. • The bus leaves from Embankment and lasts 1:45 hours.

• Choose between unlimited hot drinks or bottomless Prosecco (plus hot drinks) in options.
