WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Not all candles are created equal. Join the owner and creator of Ma Lumière, a master of the pour, Guillaume, as he demonstrates the art of candle making. From an array of twenty-five different fragrance oils, you can select your two favourite scents to mix into soy wax before pouring them. This wax holds its fragrance for longer, filling a room with delicious scent.
Soy is much better for the environment, and for you. It produces less smoke and soot because it has a low melting point. This is the choice of wax for the cognoscenti. You will notice that the candles burn slowly, and they don’t make you cough. This wax is made from soya beans, so they are sustainable too.

Once you’ve made your candles, they will need to cure overnight before you can take them home, but don’t worry, Guillaume will post them out to you.
This isn’t just about pouring wax into a glass. You will be learning to understand the different fragrance notes, and the types of wax available in the candle world. Guillaume hand pours all the products he sells, and is knowledgeable and helpful, giving clear instructions so you really can’t go wrong.
Guillaume was originally from Normandy, and the Ma Lumière Académie really does bring a touch of va va voom to the proceedings. To quote the master, "Once the light has started to shine, the possibilities are endless."
