La Bibliothèque is a boutique hotel (yes you could stay the night…) located in Hackney. With its first venue, whisky and cocktail bar MAP Maison, two doors down, you don’t have to walk far for a nightcap.
It’s chic, modern, lux. The staff are committed to your wellbeing and provide seamless attention. Customer service is nothing short of brilliant. There’s a restaurant, bar and an outdoor terrace.
The restaurant design reflects the name - leather banquettes, tub chairs, wood parquet and books provide a look that is cool, dark and moody.

The kitchen team, led by Head Chef James Mayle, takes its inspiration from the Mediterranean and Japanese kitchen to create an exciting and innovative dining experience. Their starters include Japanese milk bread with miso butters, scallops with Wasabi or maybe a lamb shoulder with seaweed on the side. This is a set menu, and you can choose to have either a wine pairing or a Sake pairing with each course.
