There is something about a Routemaster bus. A reminder of carefree days, when hopping on and off a bus was more than a convenience, it was a pleasure. Along with telephone boxes and the Mini, they all contributed to the idea of 'Cool Britannia'.

Now you can enjoy the pleasures of a lovingly restored 1966 Routemaster bus, as you embark on a 90-minute tour of either Edinburgh or Glasgow. As the city's landmarks roll by, enjoy a delightful afternoon tea, complete with scones, clotted cream and jam, sandwiches and prosecco.

Tea can be a rather hypnotic experience (so many treats at the same time) so the bus comes complete with a tour guide so no missing out on special city highlights. In fact, the atmosphere inside the bus can become quite the party, as your guides (don't forget the driver) are there to make your time aboard a happy one.

This is a five-star way to enjoy the city, and there is no getting away from it, Routemaster buses were the best……So 'hold very tight please, ting ting'!

The actual bus is beautiful. A 1960s red bus. We were sat at the very front of the bus and were absolutely crammed in. We could not move at all and were half hanging off of the 1 seat that we got between us. Other people sat elsewhere were much more comfortable. The front seats should just be considered unfit for purpose. The other passengers on the bus were friendly enough, but very very loud.
