Whether you’re out for a treat or just meeting a friend after work, it’s nice to have a destination. The Indytute have put together a couple of wine bar specials. Both bars are in the heart of Covent Garden, so if you’re going to the theatre you can settle in and absolutely not panic about timings. If you are meeting a friend, you can be happy in the knowledge that everything about these two wine bars from the staff to the eats is a pleasure.

There are two options to choose from. One offers more substantial eats, while the other is cosy, charming and just opposite The Theatre Royal.
If you want to soak up the West End atmosphere download our free audio tour. Sir Ian McKellen will be your guide as you discover the history of the West End and its theatres, with a voice map to follow - 'All the World's a Stage and all the men and women merely players' - but of course he could read telephone numbers and make them interesting. The walk lasts about 75 mins, so a convivial glass or two of deliciousness at the end will be most welcome.

Voila! Wine Bar - This is a very special wine bar. It's small, elegant, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. This is ideal for pre or post theatre too. The wine is delicious.
Cecilia's Wine House - If you prefer a simpler option then twinkly Cecilia’s is the one for you. They call it a wine house, rather than a bar. It's that easy to settle in. Expect a warm welcome, and some rather delicious prosecco.
