Your canoe adventure is somewhat less hazardous than the journey of a Canadian settler as you gently paddle up the Grand Union canal . It may take a bit of time to get into your stroke, but before long you will stop thinking about the paddling and turn your gaze to the scenery. And it is fabulous scenery.

Enjoy your paddle along Grand Union canal towards Westbourne Park and then up to take in the architecture of Little Venice. This is London at its most unexpected. Glance into back gardens and private spaces that you never knew existed.
Time yourself for the turnaround as it takes the same amount of minutes to get back, and if you aren’t used to canoeing your arms might be feeling a bit less enthusiastic on the home run…...

This is a 1 or 2 hour canoe hire (choose in options) from Ladbroke Grove or Brentford Lock. Your canoe fits 2 or 3 people (Ladbroke Grove only). Stop for lunch or bring a picnic!
Note: You are not permitted to navigate the Maida Hill tunnel onto the Regents Canal/London zoo.

We launched, with the help of Active360, from Paddington Basin, about 6ish & returned at 8ish - it was a 2hr hire. Great evening activity for a catch up, wonderful views along the canal from Paddington, past the Little Venice turn, & on towards Maida Vale/Kensal Green. No particular experience necessary - you just need to paddle with a single-blade paddle - it's intuitive so you get better as you paddle along! Highly recommen...
Lovely group of people all around. From the very easy booking experience on line, to chatting with people on the phone, to the person who meets you at the docks. 2 hours is a perfect amount of time to really enjoy and take in everything. Paddington Basin location is delightful!!!
