WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?

A trip to the seaside, staying in the original rock n' roll boutique hotel. It's gloriously eccentric - every room is styled around a different theme. Are you a fan of Dolly's? Then a night in her country cabin should hit the spot. There's plenty of gingham, a picket fence and just a smattering of that old Dolly magic with some sparkle and glam.

Maybe you're more of a Bowie fan - no problem. There's Bowie vinyl on the record player, a double spa bath and a dressing-up area in case you fancy an outlandish costume and some glam rock makeup. We did say this hotel was eccentric.

There are Diana Dors rooms, Motown soul rooms, Leigh Bowery rooms - the world, as they say, is very much your oyster. There are 19 different themes to choose from. This hotel of pleasure is tucked away on Regency Square, just a pebble's throw from the seafront.

This is Brighton at its decadent best, because who needs another beige bedroom? There is a cocktail bar that's as quirky as the decor, with gold banquettes and monster wallpaper which doubles as the breakfast room. This gets a special mention as the breakfast is particularly good - organic and locally sourced, which is just what you need after an evening engaging your inner rock star. Sausages from the Brighton Sausage Company ? No need to say more.

So leave your worries on the doormat, and maybe your inhibitions too. This hotel prides itself on attention to detail, friendly staff and just a touch of 'enfant terrible'.
