An excellent tour. We visited small eateries in and around Ancoats and the Northern Quarter. Our guide, Ian, was very knowledgeable about the local history, architecture and recent developments in the area with many fun facts thrown in for good measure. The tastings were in places you may never have heard of and maybe even wouldn't give a second glance but there are some real gems out there. We live relatively local and I am sure we shall be returning to many of these premises in the coming mon...
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, very informal and informative, a nice steady pace, and not a lot of walking. Food was fantastic as was our guide, Robert. Well worth the money and already looking at both Liverpool and London tours later in the year.
Absolutely fabulous experience!!! A total different Manchester than I am used to. Away from heels cocktails and "The in" establishments. Excellent! What I loved about this tour was how passionate the guide was about his hometown, giving us a genuine appreciation for Manchester and a window into aspects of the city we wouldn’t otherwise see. It was also a nice size group (at least the day I joined), so personal and easy going. The food was excellent, too, though compared with some other food tours it was a nice accompaniment (and provided welcome breaks) to a larger narrative about the city and its history.
