WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
The Macallan distillery was founded by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Which proved a good combo, Macallan has been mastering the spirit since 1824 - indeed The Macallan was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to be legally licensed, gaining a world wide reputation for excellence.
So it’s not a coincidence that this chic and twinkling cocktail bar on Kingsland Road in Shoreditch, is offering a unique Macallan Whisky experience. For one and a half hours you will learn about these special whiskies enjoying cocktails alongside tapas and cheese pairings. You will also taste your way through a flight of their renowned Double Cask series, while the experts at Map, introduce you to the nuances within the spirit while answering any of your questions.
If your father enjoys a ‘wee dram’ then this present definitely has his name all over it - best of all this is an experience for two, so you can go too. A spiritual bonding.

Over 18's only! This Whisky experience runs in Hackney (nearest tube is Haggerston on the East London Line or a short bus trip from Liverpool Street Station). The masterclasses are run daily from 12-6 but need booking at least a week in advance.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. We arrived early and were seated with no problems. The art deco splendor, very much my favourite era, was evident from floor to ceiling. We had a choice of over twenty years to choose from and you can change to another if you want to. The finger sandwiches arrived with smoked salmon and caviar on top. The scones were gorgeous and still warm. We were offered more sandwiches and scones but it was ample for me. The cakes were hats delivered...

We were given this voucher as a gift and what a wonderful present. Venue was great, staff were amazing and the food was exceptional. The Miso Aubergine was amazing as were the sweet treats. Would highly recommend this.

Amazing food, great selection of jams & teas, with superb service from Marlla. Despite being informed table must be returned after 90 mins...we were not rushed at all.
