Join award-winning accessories designer and Offland founder Rowan Ceridwen Sharp for an intimate introduction to leatherworking, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of the craft while making a small leather piece to take home.
Think a beautifully simple keyring, card holder or another compact leather accessory, made by hand and designed to be used long after the workshop is over.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS WORKSHOP?
This is your chance to get properly hands-on with leatherworking without needing any previous experience.
Rowan will introduce you to the tools, materials and techniques behind traditional leathercraft, guiding you through the process of cutting, shaping, punching and finishing your piece. You’ll learn how leather behaves, how clean edges and details are created, and how individual components come together to make something both practical and beautifully finished.
Rowan trained at Cordwainers and was named Jimmy Choo Accessories Designer of the Year. Her career spans fashion, interiors and specialist leatherwork, with her work featured in publications including Vogue and Wallpaper*. Through Offland, she now brings those years of experience into workshops designed to make traditional leather skills approachable, creative and genuinely enjoyable.
By the end, you’ll leave with a finished leather piece made by your own hands, plus a proper introduction to a craft that’s very easy to get hooked on.

My daughter and I loved our afternoon tea at this beautiful Hotel.The little sandwiches and desserts were lush! Warm scones with different preserves and creams were a delight!

Given as a gift for a special birthday. The hotel was amazing - it was luxurious, ultra comfortable and the location by the water was perfect. The room was spacious, with its own small balcony from which the O2 and Cable Car were seen. Afternoon tea was delicious - the only downside was that our waitress was very slow and also a bit forgetful as we had to ask several times for the accompanying beverage!
Great, fun class! Easy to make, cute items, with lovely, pretty paper used. Enjoyed myself and definitely something I'd recommend if you want to try something different of an evening!
I have taken a star off for the venue as the Palm Court is not wheelchair accessible - indeed getting in to the hotel at all required a staff member going to get a ramp and us entering through the bar in a confined space. That aside, the experience was wonderful. Staff make a real effort to turn it into an experience describing the menu - both food and drinks - and making sure that a birthday among our party was acknowledged (pianist playing Happy Birthday and a special dessert), Special "Seaso...
