Choose between either a Spanish tapas or a Mexican menu hands on cookery class.

WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT?

This Latin cookery class is a hands on session learning all about bold flavours and relaxed, confident cooking. Recipients can choose the culinary direction, either vibrant Spanish tapas or a rich Mexican menu, and then get stuck into creating a series of classic dishes from scratch. Expect sizzling pans, fragrant spices and plenty of tasting along the way. Professional chefs guide participants step by step, sharing techniques, tips and the stories behind each dish, so they leave with real skills as well as full plates. Everything is prepared, cooked and enjoyed during the session, giving a clear understanding of flavours, textures and presentation. It is immersive, sociable and focused on great food, whether sharpening existing skills or starting fresh with something new.

THE ALL IMPORTANT DETAILS

Classes are held at Smart School of Cookery's kitchen in Chelmsford, Essex and last approximately 2 hours and are available for one or two people, depending on voucher purchased.  All ingredients, equipment and recipes are included. Suitable for all abilities. You select either the Spanish session creating dishes such as Gambas al Pil Pil, Patatas Bravas, and albondigas, or Mexican class mastering dishes like Camarones con Tocino, Shredded Chicken Veracruz, and Salsa Verdet. The class can be selected at the time of booking. Food cooked during the session is eaten on the day.
