Just because your bed is on the roof, it doesn’t mean you won’t be resting in supreme comfort. Your ready-made bed has a queen-size mattress with super soft pillows, duvet, and extra blankets… and then there’s the kit.

The kit list is so impressive that it is impossible to list all of it, but you won’t find anything missing, from a portable speaker to a hot water bottle, a bivvy loo to microfibre shower towels. Cutlery, wine glasses, a fridge freezer, and a firepit. It's all there and much, much more. You can add extras if you feel short-changed. Pizza oven, anyone? There are three Defender packages to choose from, one sleeps 3 and the other sleeps 5 or you can hire the Defender only. Each roof tent hosts a queen size bed so the Defender sleeping 3 would suit 2 adults and 1 small child.  The one sleeping 5 has 2 tents so assumes 2 adults and 3 children sharing.  The campers are based in Northumberland, and the team can pick you up from a regional airport or railway station if needed. You have unlimited mileage. There are three suggested areas to explore: The Lake District, Scotland, or Northumberland.

The team behind these overland adventures can offer expert guidance that showcases the raw beauty of all these areas. So, whether you are tracking along dramatic coastline, exploring the valleys, or touring the island of Mull, you will be stunned by the beauty of Britain. This really is a wild ride.
