An exclusive luxury glamping experience at the foot of the North Downs in Kent – and by exclusive, we mean the site really is all yours. Just you. No one else. 2 nights Book time away in a 21-foot Rebel tipi and enjoy a rather unusual Rebel Farmer weekend.
WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
For a start, why Rebel Farmer? The farm was set up by market gardener Ed Kyrke-Smith to rebel against the normal practices of food production. He wanted to promote and produce local, seasonal food on a small scale and also educate communities on growing techniques. He is also passionate about his eco campsite, and so will you be.
The tents have proper beds, solar lighting, and have been decorated to a delightfully cosy standard. Furry hot water bottles come as standard, as do carpets and cushions. This is camping with comfort. Cooking and eating is easy and really rather magical. There’s a polytunnel kitchen/diner, so you have shelter on a rainy day, and a sparkly dining space for the evening.
This stay will be a polytunnel revelation. Who knew they could be so charming? The Poly kitchen has a kettle, toaster, two-ring hob, and fridge, but as you will probably want to be cooking outdoors, there is a Weber BBQ with coals provided. There is more cooking equipment than you will ever need, and plates, cups, and cutlery are all there and ready to go. A hot shower and compost toilet are of course provided.
TELL ME MORE
If you would like to take a friend or two, then extra tipis can be arranged. Definitely think about ordering a ‘Keep it local’ breakfast hamper. It’s a bit extra, but the contents come from the best local providers in the area. Apple juice, organic beans, locally grown mushrooms, jams, yogurt, and pastries, all from the environs. Yes, of course, you get sausages, coffee, tea, and a sourdough loaf.
Why not push out the boat and go for a pizza night? Toppings are straight from the farm, with vegetarian and meat options. The traditionally constructed wood-fired oven is an on-site treat, and if there are a few of you, what could be more convivial?
P.S. No dogs, sadly, due to livestock. This is a working farm.
