WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
For a start, why Rebel Farmer? The farm was set up by market gardener Ed Kyrke-Smith to rebel against the normal practices of food production. He wanted to promote and produce local, seasonal food on a small scale and also educate communities on growing techniques. He is also passionate about his eco campsite, and so will you be.
The tents have proper beds, solar lighting, and have been decorated to a delightfully cosy standard. Furry hot water bottles come as standard, as do carpets and cushions. This is camping with comfort. Cooking and eating is easy and really rather magical. There’s a polytunnel kitchen/diner, so you have shelter on a rainy day, and a sparkly dining space for the evening.
This stay will be a polytunnel revelation. Who knew they could be so charming? The Poly kitchen has a kettle, toaster, two-ring hob, and fridge, but as you will probably want to be cooking outdoors, there is a Weber BBQ with coals provided. There is more cooking equipment than you will ever need, and plates, cups, and cutlery are all there and ready to go. A hot shower and compost toilet are of course provided.
TELL ME MORE
If you would like to take a friend or two, then extra tipis can be arranged. Definitely think about ordering a ‘Keep it local’ breakfast hamper. It’s a bit extra, but the contents come from the best local providers in the area. Apple juice, organic beans, locally grown mushrooms, jams, yogurt, and pastries, all from the environs. Yes, of course, you get sausages, coffee, tea, and a sourdough loaf.
Why not push out the boat and go for a pizza night? Toppings are straight from the farm, with vegetarian and meat options. The traditionally constructed wood-fired oven is an on-site treat, and if there are a few of you, what could be more convivial?
P.S. No dogs, sadly, due to livestock. This is a working farm.

Product code: INAFPThis place is a gem! All the fun things one can join the natural, but as comfortable as home. Ed is so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It's a great pleasure to have the tour of his farm! We has a lovely time there as a family of four. Will return for sure.
What a wonderful find! Such a beautiful peaceful location. We adored our teepee and the poly tunnel. Kitchen as stunning, especially at dusk when the solar lights came on. A true off grid experience and exactly what we needed a total digital detox and reset thank you, Rebel Farmer.
Such a beautiful spot and truly camping made easy which suited us well. So nice to have the place to ourselves, and our daughters love the tour with Ed. Comfy beds, warm duvets, non-smelly toilet and the kitchen with everything you need! Will be back for sure.
A completely wonderful experience. Huge beautiful private luxury eco-incredible! We had the greatest time and was so pleased to meet the kindest people Kat and Ed who also built the best fires and grow the best vegetables (and many other things!). The set up is so thoughtful. The Kitchen out of this world and we love the impromptu tour that taught us a whole lot! Definitely would come back and wholeheartedly recommend.
We just love it here! Don’t think twice about booking! Lovely site, with great amenities and loads to go in the local area! Also love being able to sample some of the local grain produce.
Camping is not my go to holiday but I felt as a family we need time away together - tech free and back to basis. Best decision I ever made! Not once was tech requested. None of us stop smiling. This place is unique, beautiful a little slice of heaven. Comfy beds, warm showers looking up a trees, morning cups of tea in the poly kitchen, lazy days napping in the Sun and nights under the stars with hot chocolate and marshmallows. This place is good for the soul. No one wanted to leave and we wil...
