WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
This is a morning of touching, rubbing, chewing and sniffing. This is a very useful walk if you enjoy spending your time out of doors. You are about to learn how to improvise plasters, an instant cure for nettle stings (and no, it’s not dock leaves), how to prepare an antiseptic, make a poultice and cure a cough, and that’s just for starters.
This is a wild foraging walk, but leaning towards which plants can specifically be used for first aid. There will be a few tasters as you walk along, made from wild ingredients picked and prepared earlier.
John Rensten is the founder of Forage London, a man committed to exploring our edible city. He has spent 25 years studying the history and the modern use of wild plants. John will equip you with the practical and safe knowledge, gleaned through first hand experience. Expect to cover numerous topics including nutrition, medicine, herbalism and cookery….. And you thought it was all about weeds…..

I bought this workshop as a birthday present for a friend and it was such a fun afternoon. Claire was very helpful with telling us all we needed to know to make our own soaps. A great gift (where you end up with more gifts to give away!).
We really enjoyed the park lane afternoon tea, we have been to a few and this was one of the best. We don't like the posh stuffy hotels and preferred the more relaxed feel to this hotel, jeans were allowed (no trainers). The sandwiches and scones were very generous, the waiters continually topped them up without having to ask, same with the pots of tea. Overall a lovely afternoon.
The day began well, my wife has current mobility issues, as we walked very slowly from the car park to the palace the young female driver of the courtesy transit from the bus stop pulled up, unrequested and offered us a lift. A wonderful gesture, greatly appreciated. That set the tone for the rest of the day, we were delighted
We were given this voucher as a gift and what a wonderful present. Venue was great, staff were amazing and the food was exceptional. The Miso Aubergine was amazing as were the sweet treats. Would highly recommend this.
Food was really tasty and unique for an afternoon tea, a selection of dishes. Definitely left feeling full and while the portions look small, there are lots of courses like a tasting course! Would recommend to visit again! You do have to pay a discretionary service charge at the end however.
