WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?

The Sunborn's elegant lines provide the perfect setting to watch the waterfront and take in the surrounding views, and they are very spectacular. Canary Wharf, the O2 and the docks.

This yacht really is impossibly luxurious. This cruise liner could take to the high seas, but it doesn't. In fact, it can't. There is no engine. Permanently moored at Royal Victoria Dock, this is a 5-star yacht hotel. The first in London.

Step aboard and prepare to do some serious relaxing over dinner. As the water shimmers so do the waiters - and the dining area does a bit of shimmering on its own. The feel is contemporary and opulent, making the whole evening feel rather glamorous.

The onboard restaurant is called 'The Land's End'. It's here you will be wining and dining. Enjoy the view of the docks as the lights twinkle on the water. There is something very special about eating on the water. It seems like a holiday. The food takes its influence from Europe and Asia, so expect to be surprised. Enjoy a three-course dinner, with a glass of wine, and the added bonus of not having to go home.

The rooms all have great views over the river and docks, expect very comfy beds and lux showers. Oh, and there's breakfast included, so the treat extends into the next day.

The location was great for us as we were attending Excel convention centre, but for me, despite the very comfortable king size bed and the wonderful food, my favourite thing was the amazing view from our balcony. You can see Canary Wharf and it looks stunning at night and again in the morning sun. Absolutely perfect destination for a relaxing time in lovely cityscape.
