Explore London like a local here
This is a day of exploration led by a qualified archaeologist. By following in the footsteps of the relic hunters and explorers you will learn about their adventures and the hazards they faced as you travel through time discovering the past through the world famous artifacts held in the museum.
WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT ?
This is a tour that will appeal to history buffs and the intellectually curious. There are two parts to your adventure. In the morning you will tour the museum, discovering the galleries while learning about the Rosetta Stone, the Parthenon Marbles and the Lewis chessmen.
In the afternoon you will hear about the geniuses who decoded ancient languages. Sumerian cuneiform - the earliest written language, and learn how to write your name in hieroglyphs.
There's a lot of science behind archaeology, but there are also secrets left untold. Mysteries that still elude the archaeologists of today. Learn about the ancient burial sites, and how objects are dated.
And for the last bit of icing on this history layer cake, you will be learning how to play the Royal game of Ur - whose rules were deciphered by, yes, the scholars based at the British Museum. It remains the world's most ancient board game.

Super meal lovely restaurant, great staff Location near Liverpool Street Station

I've had a great time doing the Kintsugi Workshop. I learnt new skills and it was really relaxing to stop and be more present in the moment!

Rachel was such a great hostess! Our ride was ready and waiting at the station and meant we could leave bags, jackets, anything on the van while we enjoyed our day. We visited two vineyards which both offered something a bit different to each other. The little walks around the vineyards were beautiful and the guides were very knowledgeable and engaging. Lunch was delicious and substantial enough for a day of drinking! And ofc the wines were beautiful - came home with a bottle and a smile 😊 fant...

Claire was a great teacher, very clear and helpful. I was really pleased with the result

What a hidden gem this place is! Just 5 minutes walk from London Bridge and the hustle and bustle of Borough Market this pancake place is lovely. We received a warm friendly welcome from the staff, they explained in detail options for my husband who's pescatarian and doesn't eat eggs. We had the Australian corn fritters with extra pancake and a vegan option (very close to pancakes with eggs, slightly less tasty but once the toppings were on you wouldn't notice). I had a pancake left over so had ...
