Explore magnificent State Rooms and Royal Collection masterpieces. Two People.
WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Buckingham Palace. The official residence of His Majesty the King. This is a familiar cultural landmark. From the entrance to the famous balcony, we have all shared some historic Royal moments with this building at the heart, but how many of us have been inside?
There are 19 magnificent State Rooms for you to see on this tour. Wander through rooms adorned with treasures from the Royal Collection. Masterpieces by Rembrandt, Rubens and Van Dyck, and then, of course, there are the rooms themselves. The White Drawing Room with its gilded and plaster work ceiling and columns, vie for attention with a pretty spectacular chandelier. The Music Room, where Albert and Victoria tinkled at the ivories and sang, now used for dignitaries during State visits, and of course the Throne Room. You are walking through history.

And then there's tea. Up The Mall, through Admiralty Arch as you head for the Clermont Hotel in Charing Cross. There's a definite touch of grand about this hotel, and tea gives you a moment to think about the Royal splendours just up the road. The cream is Cornish, and the sandwich fingers are just right, and even Queen Victoria would have loved the sponge.
This is a day to learn about the Palace and indulge in everything Royal. Tea is merely the icing on the cake - but then where would we be without icing? Think how many thousands of sweet treats are created every day for receptions at the Palace. Now a trip to see the Royal Pastry chefs at work, that would be a thing...
