WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Hosted by Botanical Boys at their studio in Coal Drops Yard, the experience offers a hands-on introduction to the world of preserved moss. Participants discover the difference between bun and sheet moss, learn how it is sustainably harvested and preserved, then get to grips with creating their own miniature landscape.

After sketching out a design, they’ll layer moss and textures to build hills, valleys and organic shapes, with guidance from the Botanical Boys team throughout. Their finished creation is an A4-sized piece of three-dimensional moss artwork, presented in a handcrafted wooden frame.
It’s a creative way to bring a little of the outdoors inside, with none of the watering, pruning or plant-related guilt. The finished artwork is ready to hang at home and enjoy long after the workshop has ended.

We organised this as a surprise for a friend’s birthday. It was brilliant fun- nice and relaxed- the time flew by and we made some beautiful pots. Huge thanks to Francesca was a wonderful host and teacher.
John was a great guide and a great guy. Anecdotes from the early days of punk and what he did afterwards. The Tour didn’t just involve rock n roll memories but also the beautiful architecture we passed as we strolled. He was as interested in everyone on the tour as we were of him. You don’t have to be a Stranglers fan to appreciate the tour as he has many stories to keep you entertained. Great day out I’d highly recommended.
We were given this trip up the Shard followed by dinner at the London Steakhouse as a gift, and really enjoyed this special experience! When booking, we selected our time so that we could go up the Shard an hour before sunset, and stayed for about two hours so that we saw the views in daylight and after dark - both were stunning! What a great experience, so much better than expected right from checking in to checking out. We had a lovely comfortable cabin and all the staff were just amazing. I would have no hesitation in recommending this totally amazing place. The food in the restaurant was first class! Looking forward to going again soon!
