WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?

Switch off.  This is a luxury break in the Hertfordshire countryside. A place to experience a complete getaway. You can take the dog, but not the kids. This really is all about you or you and a significant other.

There’s towels, waffle robes and slippers, underfloor heating and mood lighting so you can bubble in your private outdoor tub or soak in the ‘two’s company’ jacuzzi bath inside.

This is a pastoral hideaway where city chic meets country comfort. The vast beds have posh sheets and pillows and the decor is quirky with vintage finds, it is utterly enchanting.

No restaurant on site, but an ‘in room’ honest pantry stocked with tasty food and drinks. A breakfast box is delivered to the door, and if you don’t want to leave the retreat then lunch and dinner boxes can be ordered in - locally farmed burgers, pizza kits or BBQ and steaks.

There are also dog friendly pubs on the doorstep if you find yourself craving a Sunday roast - by the way there is no check out time on Sunday. You could spend the whole day in bed and check out Monday morning if you fancy. At Bethnal and Bec you get to enjoy a proper, old fashioned, lazy Sunday.  

Smart TV complete with Netflix is provided, along with Vinyl and a record player. If you decide to book Bec then lie back and watch movies on a big screen from the comfort of bed. There’s books, board games and a log burner in both, everything you need to chill.  When you want to venture out, there’s obviously loads of picturesque walks and lots of local amenities from coffee shops and lavender fields to stately homes.

Why Bethnal and Bec?  Because the owners were originally from Bethnal Green and Tooting Bec. Simple.

So if you’re looking for a recharge and a proper de-stress this retreat is designed by two people who totally get what a good rest really means.

• Voucher valid for Bethnal Retreat or Bec Retreat.  You can book the "Foaling Box" retreat but additional charges may apply.

• Dogs welcome (extra £30 for up to 3 dogs payable when you book in)
