First off there was one small brewery, then two, then six and now who knows?
This is the home to the ‘beer mile’, London’s craft beer mecca. Actually, it’s a bit longer than a mile and stretches through the streets and railway arches of South East London.
This is an hoptastic experience, which takes place in the taproom of Hiver, the brewers with honey at their heart. Prepare to learn the secrets of the area’s brewing heritage. This is an 80-minute beer extravaganza.
Hiver owns a custom-built tasting room, and you’ll be deep diving into 5 of the most unique and tantalising offerings from best of the iconic Beer Mile breweries. There are secrets to uncover as you learn about the heritage behind the brews. At the end of the tasting you will be given a map of the food and drink offerings along the mile. Then continue to self-guide your way around Bermondsey after the tasting.
There’s an abundance of street food in Maltby Street food market which you could take along to Hiver taproom. This is an area awash with foodie treats. It’s not the largest market in the area, but it punches well above its weight when it comes to a delicious snack.
Hiver won’t let you leave without some wildflower seeds to plant to encourage more bees. So scatter the love and enjoy the buzz.

First of all the venue is jaw dropping beautiful, staff very attentive and friendly to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. The afternoon tea was exceptional, presenting the food fabulously and tastes delicious. Would recommend for a special occasion with a date or take a mate for great experience.
Wonderful afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings. The staff were so attentive. There was a harpist playing in the background and the food was to die for.
Fantastic ticket for a gallery booking at the Shard and a meal at the London Steakhouse very good value for money
An ideal venue a short walk fro the railway station. IMO there was way too much talking from the compere, which meant I had to miss half of the main act to get my last train home. That was a real shame as he was the best of the night by far
Such a wonderful experience, my girlfriend and I loved every minute of this experience from touring Windsor Castle to the delicious afternoon tea at the Clarence tea room.
