WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Rock climbing. There are a number of routes you can take up the wonderfully named “Idleburger Buttress.” Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced climber, it offers challenges for both. There will be six of you in the class, and the experience takes 3.5 hours, which includes your safety briefing, kitting up and dekitting. Everything you need will be provided, and if you need rock climbing shoes, let them know the size before you get there.
A clothes list will be sent through before the day. Nothing tricky, they just want you to be comfortable.

Once you’ve reached the top, you’ll also be given the opportunity to abseil down—two treats for the price of one. You’ll be coached all the way along the climb by experts from Up and Under Adventures, who are qualified climbers with years of experience. Whatever goal you have, they’re there to help you achieve it.
This really is where your adventure begins, and the team wants you to love rock climbing as much as they do. This can become quite an addictive sport, and encouragement from a calm, supportive professional at the start is important.

Did a a 3.5 hour session for my son’s 21st bday. Excellent value for money, Rob was fantastic at explaining everything and safety as well as a fun/informative experience were top priorities.
