Make your Own Organic Soap

Learn how to make your own cold-pressed organic soap with natural herbs and shea butter. WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?   Let’s do our bit to help the planet and make the bathroom a plastic-free zone. Plastic bottles have had their day, we have to go back to a basic bar. But just how basic do they have to be? We all know that soap is one of those bathroom luxuries. The smell and texture contribute a vital sensory edge to our soak experience. And what’s going into the bar? Remember, this is a product you put on your skin everyday, and it should moisturise and protect - nobody wants skin that feels like a dry, flakey biscuit. TELL ME MORE   You can pick from 4 different methods, choose which method and ingredients suit you.  Prepare to learn the cooking techniques, how to prepare a soap base and how to heat and monitor temperatures. Choose from a selection of colours and experiment with marbling and layering colour. You will be working with natural ingredients to fragrance the soap, as well as herbs and flowers that add to the dermatological properties in the bar. Think poppy seeds for exfoliating to marigold flowers with their anti-inflammatory and healing properties. At the end of the class you will have your very own custom made soap and the know-how to carry on producing (gifts sorted for a lifetime!).  THE ALL IMPORTANT DETAILS - Runs bi-monthly on Saturdays and weeknight evenings- Kensal Rise (easy to get to from Paddington or overground and underground) Each session lasts 90 minutes. Chop, Smash and Destroy!

A table tennis masterclass for one at the luxurious Bounce in Farringdon, London. WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT? Mosaic Masterclass in a Day

Create a beautiful mosaic reminiscent of the ancient classics and learn from a Master Mosaicist. WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT? An artist's paradise. Prepare to be mesmerised by the variety of colours, the shades and the depth that can be created with small chips of stones and glass. There are mosaics and there are extraordinary mosaics.  TELL ME MORE Giulia Manzoni is a Master Mosaicist. Classically trained in Italy, she has been working between London and San Francisco. Now based in London, Giulia has collaborated on projects from the floor restoration of the Victoria and Albert Museum to several bespoke mosaic projects. She works regularly with architects to create mosaics for walls and pools, inspired by ancient Greek or Roman designs. As well as designing her own collection of strikingly modern products using marble fragments. The next time you walk across a museum or find yourself contemplating in a church, look down at the floors beneath your feet and wonder. These are works of art made with love by artisans who for the last four thousand years have designed everything from advertising to great religious works, just by using little stones. THE ALL IMPORTANT DETAILS This full-day experience is to gain an insight into the stones. Learn about the tools and materials before you set about making your own piece of art, to take home with you. This class is for complete beginners, and the initial design will be provided by Giulia for you to fill and follow. You can’t build Pompeii overnight, it takes a bit of practice, but your 15cm x 15cm will seem just as challenging.
